They’re also kind enough to simply nudge her awake if they hear her whimper in her sleep. But this night isn’t a whimper, it’s a scream she can already feel creeping up the back of her throat, carried on the coppery tang of blood; and to sleep now would set it free. So she doesn’t, meticulously filling out her report as soft snores fill the cabin

"I'm so torn." Hotch said through a wall of Prentiss-hair as he gave him a massage to comfort him through this troubling time. "I want to tell you that it'll be okay, that I'm hear for you but ... it's been a whole. Episode since I shot someone. I don't know what to do."

"I'll find the solution online!" Shouted Garcia as she once again, single handedly solved the case. "Well, according to tumblr, you should ... have sex." Garcia exclaimed. "Can I watch! I'm the one most likely to be turned on by things like man on man action and slash fiction."

Looking at each other, Anderson and Hotch shrugged and started doing it on top of Reid's prone, blank form.

Munching down on her cheeto's while Prentiss washed Morgan's feet and Garcia drooled over the incestuous sex, JJ had only one thing to say to all this shit. "Whatever, call me when I have a story line worth a damn."

“Why do you pretend to sleep?” Jordan said, fingers dancing over Emily's exposed back above the bedsheet. “I know you have trouble. I know you’re not sleeping right now.”

Emily conceded the point, opening her eyes in the dim light of her bedroom and readjusting her head on her arms. Jordan was lying on her side, watching her as morning breaks somewhere over the horizon.

“I guess I’m just used to mimicking sleep, hoping it’ll come.”

Jordan smiles softly, and doesn’t make any further comment on it, instead she closes the distance between them and puts a kiss on Emily's shoulder. Everything about the woman told her she shouldn’t have to pretend anymore, but it was a way of living she couldn't escape.

The doctor had suspected he had been attacked by another minimal, possibly one with the DNA of a large predator, judging by the slashes across Hotch’s chest, but Morgan suspected there was more to it. Hotch was too weary of humans, and he got a look in his eyes that Morgan knew too well: he’d seen it often enough in the mirror

Why must you write an AU fill that I want an entire universe of? Gah! This prompt really didn't register with me, but now you've got me all intrigued as to what could happen, especially the last part about protecting.. what do they need protecting from? Hmm, so many theories.
