I got my internet connection fixed. Turned out it was the power cord for the modem. Would you like me to tell you how pissed I am at myself for not managing to get to the company earlier, like over a month ago?! Oh well!
My modem crapped out on me a while ago, and while I was anxiously poking at it, this thought seeped into the back of my mind. "Didn't they send me something about the modem a while ago? Wasn't there a little box or something?" Yes, there was a little box with a power cord in it and a letter saying the old cords were tending to fail. *facepalms*
