No, I wasn't bored to death at last night's symphony.   In fact, Stacy and I enjoyed it greatly.  The star violinist was extremely talented and even more expressive.  I've never seen a musician bounce around so much

A topical skin poison is an obvious choice. make sure it's a very expensive violin and it will damage the violin to remove the chin rest.

A contact poison is interesting. Good luck with your research. Another tactic instead of a poison might be a drug that is absorbed through the skin resulting in a drug overdose. So many medicines are administered through the use of derma patches, it could be an alternative for you.
