I often wonder why people ask your opinion to a question when they already have their mind made up. Why waist everyone's time? Why not just say "About this particular topic/subject/idea I feel..." and spare us all the headache of playing amatuer psychiatrist.

I always ask people's opinions. I figure getting a whole bunch of other input might tell me something new I haven't considered. Sometimes I'll change my opinion, sometimes I won't...but it's more a matter for me of being sure I've got as much information as possible on any given topic. Ya know?

I guess that's just how we're different. I only want others opinions when I'm conflicted/unsure on a topic. When I know my own stance on something it serves no purpose to solicit others for theirs when it will not help to sway me.
