Ha! Sounds just like Los Angeles, they are equally ill-equipped to deal with any amount of rain.

hehe. except at least LA's climate (almost classed at semi-arid) doesn't call for it much. cartagena gets over 1000mm of rain per year!

34C + rain = STEAMY

Street floods are no fun! Certain streets here flood all the time, which I also find to be poor urban planning. However, perhaps when those cities in Columbia were built (they look old), rain wasn't as heavy. Cumbria strikes me as being that way. They've had more major flooding this summer, which only seems to be a huge problem in recent years. Climate change accentuating normally wet weather patterns with abnormally heavy deluges?

Lovely photos! The colors in the streetscape really pop and I like the way that the palm leaves frame the rain shot.
