Imagine a world of utter darkness, where the only illumination comes from the infinitely-branching lightning which webs the black sky, sometimes stooping low to brush the spires of buildings which rise--rise for miles above the ground, thick as forest trees, unbroken, unending. I like it. Very visceral with "murder-quick" and skin of the world.
