So I got married in October. It was a low key affair, mostly designed to keep people in good food and drink. We tried for a record ceremony--4 minutes and 7 seconds. Friends enjoyed themselves (from all I heard) and my relatives didn't seem too upset either. Mostly, I'm glad to never plan that sort of party ever again
