Hey, I ended up getting it from King Soopers because it's near my school. It looked a little iffy and the baby was on the outside of the cake (not buried), but it tastes great! And I'm originally from Louisiana, so I know what it's "supposed" to taste like ;)

If you're near a King Soopers, you should try it! Was $5.99 for the whole cake. It came with fun beads :)

I saw king cake at both King Soopers and Safeway this week, though whole foods is likely better/fresher? Should be easily attainable around town.

There is (was? It doesn't seem to be very well-known, so hopefully it's not out of business now) a New Orleans-centric restaurant in the same building as the Louie's Pizza on Boulder/Tejon. The gumbo was fantastic, last time I went!

I've had their bread. Yum. Did you get a King Cake from here? I went to the site but I couldn't find anything about whether you had to order them or if they were readily available. Or...maybe I'm just blind. :)
