tips?

i'm thinking of painting my cheap LACK  side tables
the ones from IKEA...

anyone ever painted them?
got any tips?

Never tried it. Wouldn't it be easier to just buy two new ones in the right colour though? Probably cost less than the paint!

yeah but i'm thinking of painting them orange...
they don't come in orange :(

I'm no expert on this, but if you're attempting to paint the "wood" of these side tables, I'd sand them with a very fine-grain sandpaper first, to cut through the original finish, and to give the paint something to grab onto. If you require a second coat, sand again after your first coat dries.
