summary: sunggyu thinks woohyun makes a good killer, if only he knows how to use a gun.
sunggyu watches woohyun holds the trigger, with bated breath, because woohyun's the worst student to come under him, barely having any skills to assassinate. and yet woohyun is still on the team, because he's a fucking genius, and he fights like a warrior (only without weapons because woohyun sucks at aiming), and he would be a really valuable member of the team, if only he has excellent shooting skills as well.
woohyun pulls the trigger and bang! it is a bullseye, hitting the dummy straight in the heart, where the bullet should pierce through and kill fast, just one shot and you can escape, no need to get messy with punches and kicks (and it is what sunggyu has been teaching woohyun for forever but woohyun is such a dumbfuck at shooting). sunggyu allows himself a smile, but only for a second, because woohyun starts to whoop for joy.
"that's luck," sunggyu says, setting his mouth in a straight line and trying not to look too pleased (he still has an image to maintain), and points to the another dummy. "try that one."
woohyun nods, the triumphant smile on his face gets bigger, as he walks towards the dummy. he doesn't even wait for sunggyu to say anything, but pulls the trigger and it hits the dummy straight in the heart. again.
"coincidence," sunggyu almost wants to laugh at his student's expression, woohyun looks like he is about to faint from disbelief. "another one and if you get it right this time, i'll think about setting your first assignment earlier than we've discussed."
woohyun nods once more and looks at sunggyu, "yes, teacher."
this time, he doesn't walk towards the dummy but spins around to face sunggyu instead. before sunggyu even asks, woohyun pulls the trigger and shoots sunggyu straight in the heart. sunggyu gasps in shock, one hand clutching woohyun's arm and the other at his chest.
"bullseye," woohyun whispers, shaking sunggyu's hand away and the coldest smile sets on his face as he pulls out a knife. "lesson number one, teacher, did you forget?"
sunggyu wheezes in reply as he falls on his knees, his head spinning, feeling like his breath is slowly being sucked out of his lungs. woohyun roughly pulls sunggyu's face to look at his before bending down so he could be at eye-level with his teacher. sunggyu starts to tear.
"lesson number one is," woohyun breathes, his lips so close to sunggyu's ears. "never trust anyone, because you never know them completely," and with one swift movement, woohyun drives the knife he has been holding right through sunggyu's abdomen.
"i'm the best student you'll ever have, teacher," woohyun smirks as sunggyu slowly closes his eyes.
woohyun drops the gun by sunggyu's head and starts to walk away. but he never goes far, because sunggyu suddenly grabs him by the ankle, bringing woohyun crashing down to the floor next to him. with all the energy that he can muster, sunggyu takes the gun that woohyun has dropped and shoots his student through the brain.
(this is something he wants to teach woohyun after he masters shooting at the heart because a heart can stop beating but the person can still be alive if his brain is still working; so you shoot the brain, destroy all brain nerves connecting to the most important organs and he's a goner.)
woohyun dies immediately, he doesn't even have time to close his eyes, sunggyu notices (which is also the last thing sunggyu notices because his world blackens after that).
lesson number two: never be complacent; always keep your weapons with you.
end.
