Clearly the kindest thing someone could do for him is bring him an iPhone power cable!

Dear Graham,

Hello...loyal follower from suburban DC, Brenda, here...Just heard about your fall and hospitalization. So sorry!

I've had my turn at hospital stays. Here is sage advice: bust out of there as soon as possible! Hire a goon squad to assist you, if necessary. Trust me, Graham, the longer that you stay there, the worse the food and care become. Also, the walls move in, towards you, constantly, at a rate of, say, about 2 inches per minute. You will begin to feel cramped and then suffer breathing difficulties as your finite space further constricts.

Your sanity will be judged suspect in no time, as well meaning nurses and visitors begin to doubt your judgment.("Why all the complaints? He seemed like such a nice chap at first.")

Get back on Twitter as soon as you are able. I do enjoy your way with words. I also love your photographs of London.

Best,
Brenda Elthon
