Mar 17, 2011 12:06

I've been playing with this chapter for almost two weeks now, and while I'm not completely satisfied with it, if I don't post it now, I probably never will. :\ Thank you for all your feedback! I'll be finishing up review responses right after I post this, and then I'll get right on the next chapter so there'll hopefully be an update next Thursday, ( Read more... )

They both are walking on egg shells. Their relationship is so fragile. Buffy seems determined to find any sort of reason to push him away. Then she realizes he was her support system when everyone else expects her to be the support for them. Heartbreaking.

Well said. :) They're so afraid of caring too much that every little tremor has the potential to shatter them, and yet they still can't stay away for long...

Well, this chapter wasn't very easy to read... It's so sad and tragic and depressing to see Buffy to revert to old patterns. And Spike doesn't come off much better, either. *sigh* I guess at this point, the only way is up for them.

"With Spike it’s always we."

We can hope! :D The worst needs to pass so they can get some of this out of their systems, but there's much, much more to go. :)

:( It is always so rough when communication failures compound. I hope this estrangement doesn't last too long.

Massively interesting, what you are doing with the slayer sickness. I'm really eager to see how that plotline develops.
