Embers, Part 8/22 (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

I've got a busy four weeks ahead of me, and while I'll definitely try to update, I can't promise anything regular. We'll be back to our normal scheduling at the end of April. :)

This wasn't an easy chapter to write, and I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me. Thanks to temptationwaits- for some help with phrasing in this one! :)

<3 Thank you! I'm still trying to pick up the pieces from S8 Buffy, but her personality hasn't been so inconsistent, just her actions... so plausible reasons for them must be invented. We're getting closer to Buffy-as-she-should-be, though. :)

Hi! I've been reading this fic (and your other fics) for a while and decided to delurk now. I follow you on tumblr as well (I'm sleepwakehope over there).

Anyways, I love this fic! Even though they frustrate me so much, Spike and Buffy, I love their voices in this fic. You've really got them down, and I'm intrigued by the background plot as well. I'm looking forward to writing the Buffy/Angel confrontations very much, though I promise that they won't be shippy. ;)
