help I don't even know what I'm writing anymore this is ridiculous and I am ridiculous

(oh and btw apparently some of my fics won awards at SunnyD! Thank you so much to those of you who voted for them, and i think I have enough shinies to make a page for them on my blog, which is exciting and something I'd never expected! <333 And when I went to the ( Read more... )

Okay, this is the cutest thing ever! All the huffing and puffing by Riley and Angel is hilarious. They are just such guys, with their macho displays of possession. Meanwhile, Spike just dances around, hanging out with the girls and going to rom coms and providing challenging demons to fight with for fun. The way to a girl's heart and all...

I also love that Buffy so has Angel's number, when she stops long enough to give it a moment's thought. The emotions are getting too intense back home, so he reverts to nostalgia to try and avoid all his new feelings. I do feel badly for Riley in this, though. Everything's been going so well, but he's no dummy, and knows their relationship won't ever progress past this point. Poor guy. But, better to know the truth, I suppose.

Buffy's got a tough job here, juggling all that manly interest. Hee! Enjoy the moment, Buffy. Being spoiled for choice is trickier than it looks! But I've got a feeling you'll end up fairly satisfied. ;-)

Thanks! It's silly, but I had a lot of fun writing it. :D

I feel awful for Riley too! I actually tried rewriting to somehow make this a better ending for him- but I also refuse to turn a character into a villain just to knock off a love interest, and this was always going to end badly for him if it ended well for Buffy and Spike. :/

Hee! Clever idea - let Riley and Angel hang around enough to be their own worst enemies as Buffy gets tired of both of them and goes off with the fun guy.

This was inspired by one too many fics involving Spike and [insert rival love interest here] posturing over Buffy's love. They were both starting to irritate me to the point that I started considering a third party involvement as more tempting than even Spuffy! :D

This was great! I loved Buffy recognizing Spike's loneliness, loved Buffy calling out Angel, but I actually felt sorry for Riley with "it matters"
Of course it does Buffy!

I'm brought back to the "does it have to mean something" in End of Days with that line. Yes, it does, but Buffy prefers her actions speaking over introspection- and alas, her actions here say everything to Riley. :(

PRECIOUS! This had me aflail with adorableness. It's kind of the most fun thing ever that Spike is suddenly the one in her life with the least amount of drama and that she keeps escaping with him. I love it.

Hee, as I mentioned to SMS above, it was very much inspired by my distaste for fics where Spike and [insert rival love interest here] start posturing over Buffy, and I don't want to see either of them with Buffy anymore. It's much more fun when Spike is the one on the outside! :D

Aw. I feel a little sorry for Riley, but all's well that ends well.

Poor Riley. :/ But it wasn't going to last much longer anyway, I guess...
