Ahhh, this was lovely. I feel like this fandom doesn't lend itself to AUs very well for whatever reason, so this was an especial pleasure to read. (Of course, it doesn't hurt that it was so beautifully written, either!)
Thank you! Heh, I've been rereading the books and thinking up all ~kinds of AUs, though I doubt many will make it to paper. There are so many stories left unwritten in canon itself to provide fodder for ficcers!
