This isn't really fic as much as jotted notes in the form of a plot summary for how I'd have written S9 with the same plot elements and themes we'd been given. I think that Illyria can do an extremely fascinating journey into humanity. I believe that the original concept was that: taking a non human creature and explore what it means to be human with her. It's the same concept they used with Anya and Spike partially and maybe ... maybe they will also transform Spike? So far he didn't do anything really interesting and I can imagine Spike struggling with a new found mortality. Personally I think it would be interesting and it would add much more to the character.

I replied to tumblr, which I'm sure you've seen, and I'm always the party pooper, so thanks for putting up with me when you still enjoy the comics.

Some weird idea come to mind the other day. I don't think Dawn is going to be a new seed, I don't know if we'll get a full blown new seed. But I am wondering if Willow will be able to remake Dawn? If Willow can now recast the spell the monks did but make it more sustainable than before, than that could band aid the problem.

So that makes me think...is Spike going to be Dawn's biological father? Like Willow needs Buffy and someone else to remake Dawn? No sex would be involved.

Are you hoping for all this to give way to the Fray verse or destroy it?

Season 9 had such potential. I can see it, still there in what could have been. Makes me wonder how this would be if Joss wrote it.

Interesting! I think if I were doing it, I'd have them find out what's causing Dawn's illness much earlier and incorporate Willow's quest to bring magic back into the main storyline...
