bloody outlook

Do all the missing entries share addresses with the visible ones (for example if Kev's address and Jen's address are the same, Microsoft may have deliberately engineered it to skip it from mail merge with the added feature that you obviously don't need to see it's contact card either).

Have you tried switching it off and on again (*ducks and runs away from the nice, but irritated lady*)

sadly no they are all random people - some are friends, some are family, some are work colleagues and they don't all live in some commune somewhere with the same address ;o)

and yes I have turned the pc off several times since this problem started and no that doesn't work (nor does closing outlook and reopening it just for clarity ;o)

aha, that has helped (a bit)

before Christmas, I set up a 'christmas contacts' folder of names/addresses (but no other details) of people I wanted to send christmas cards to so that I could print out labels - as it happened I never printed the labels (due another problem with microsoft - see December posting) ...

After a quick glance, the missing names seem to be listed in this file - but so are all the names from 'contacts' folder

so now, how do I 1) make all the contacts visible again and 2) not lose the christmas contacts folder which I set up as I am likely to use it this year and it took me AGES to figure out how to make the folder work

//sometimes I wonder if I should just read the manual (which I don't have) rather than trying to figure out how things work!!
