I don't buy flavored yogurt of any kind anymore. I get Fage or Chobani plain Greek yogurt, and mix in matcha or cinnamon and it is delicious and filled with goodness and protein

Yeah, I do have a cake craving sometimes and figured if they can make a passable red Velvet flavor, why not. I mean, they can make the freaking Jelly Bellies taste like buttered popcorn and jalapeno, it shouldn't be hard using artificial flavoring.
Ugh. I didn't even notice they had done something so nasty to yoghurt. I'm picky -- I like Neilson's fruit-on-the-bottom, and that's about it. I figured out why I dislike most other yoghurts, and it's the texture. They all have a "smooth" texture that I absolutely detest. I've seen yoghurts marked as being gelatin-free, and I'm guessing that gelatin is what I hate.
It's getting harder to find the yoghurt I like, though, so I'm looking to change it up. Greek yoghurt? Mixed with cinnamon? I could like that....
I won't buy any made with gelatin/agar/starch/whatever thickening ingredient they use.
Neither the Chobani nor the Fake Greek yogurts have any kind of thickening ingredient. The only ingredients are milk and bacterial cultures. Even in the non-fat variety, which I got a few times because I couldn't believe that it would be as rich and creamy without thickeners (I prefer it with fat, but it was in fact still rich and creamy).
