So, why is this bill good? I'm opposed to anything that falls short of the banks being nationalized. All the public banks should pass on the debt to their shareholders who need to directly feel a burden of the fallout from their complicity in turning a blind eye to the mismanagement of the banks which they own...

As for everyone who took a stupid loan they can't afford... well fuck them sideways. I've been working full time for over a decade and I can't afford a house because I understand that jumping into poor financial decisions is plain stupid. Compound interest isn't a mystery, it is something people should understand. Being too stupid to understand the repercussions of your decisions doesn't excuse you from having to pay the consequences.... If the government bails out these idiots that bought into deals they can't afford instead of letting them get foreclosed upon and making the banks choke down the toxic assets that they created then I'll never be able to afford a house.
