Can people really make a living like that? By listening to people? I think I'd be good at it. I like to listen, and I'm good at keeping secrets. Everyone back home used to come to me when they wanted to talk without fear of being lectured or judged.

I found the most curious creature wandering around outside of the house today. It was small and resembled a dog, but... not quite. It let me pet it for awhile, but ran off when I went inside to find it something to eat.
The animals here are so very skittish; it's unfortunate.
