My mum had that problem years ago, she put it down to yeast intolerence, so she cut down on bread, Wholemeal and granery bread affected her the most. Have you tried eating Soda Bread, it might be yeast rather than wheat and Glueten

Ahh, but you just can't eat cheap sausages. There are some that aren't bulked out with rusk and wheat. I learned this from hanging out with Sally (English Rose from the forum). She is wheat allergic, but not a full blown coeliac, since she's ok with gluten. It might be worth chasing her up on LLL for some tips. I think you should keep experimenting to see what bothers you. In any case, you get to experiment with lots of foods you might never have eaten before and might really enjoy! I'd be dismayed myself, don't get me wrong, but feeling better is good, and maybe it's not as bad as you're fearing. I have a friend that is very sensitive to wheat and sugar, but there's no label to give her either - she just knows she'll feel poorly if she goes near it, so she picks her battles there. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you find an answer soon.
