So we're in the new house, and we've got a contractor coming by to help us with the imminent DO THIS NOW fixes and the stuff we can't hack ourselves.  This morning, I had a discussion with our contractor about 'creative' home repairs

I remember now, PG&E said that the extra gas portion was to connect to a gas clothes dryer.

And I have aluminum wiring to contend with in my building. Big no-no these but were stuck with it.

Yuck, my folks had Aluminum wiring... took them YEARS to finally get it all out. At least 3 different major renovations.

Sigh, I worry some times that PEX in 30 years might go the same way as aluminum wiring.
