Several people have told me, don't get me a Christmas gift, make a donation to a relief organization... I think my dad put it best when he added "The government isn't going to help us, we have to help ourselves" (the US being the citizens of the US).

There is no internal support system for the people in the government, it's been whittled away in the past five years. And it's nothing short of criminal.
