Sometimes I look at certain friend's flickr photos and feel like they are living better than I am.

By living I mean living each day... which is seperate from career accomplishment, money or marital status ( Read more... )

I think we all feel that way about others' lives at some point. but no one posts flickr photos of themselves sitting in a boring meeting or waiting in line at walmart or vacuuming. everyone has to balance fun with drudgery.

Re-adjusting to differnt culture and climate takes TIME. Trust me.
It's the same thing that I tell everyone, esp when they want to move out here.
The only reason why I was able to adjust so quickly was for several reasons:
1. I came out here for a job.
2. I was thrown into a network of 14 other individuals who were going through EXACLTY the same thing I was.
3. I was assigned an advisor before even moving out whose job it was to make sure I adapted well to LA's environment, be it talking, taking me to parties to meet people, or hanging out.

You'll find your groove. You're a tallented individual. Just give it some time.

that's all good advice. part of my prob is ive known from the start im only in Atlanta for 2 months... so i think in a way my time was over here before it started.

i cant wait to get a city where i plan to stay for a while... but in the meantime i have to remember not to let life pass my by!

I cna guarantee lots of peeps post untrue pics or at least very flattering ones. I prefer to keep mine color adjusted & thats it. I am adrift myself.....whihc is not all bad!

being adrift (for me) is upsetting but also it's kinda the best thing i can have going for me at the same time!
