I'm mostly looking forward to Heavy Rain in the coming months. I've watched a great many of the videos out on it and the game absolutely fascinates me. The thing is, I can't shake this niggling doubt that it'll end up an interactive movie on a level that makes Metal Gear Solid 4's gameplay look as in-depth as Mario Galaxy.

Exact same reaction to the Bayonetta demo. I actually knew nothing about it other than it was getting hype and it got 40/40 in Famitsu (Nintendogs) and downloaded it with no idea what to expect. It may be the worlds least subtle nod toward another game but fuck me if it isn't the most fun I've had in a game for a while. I'm not even a huge fan of the DMC series but there's something about it that has it's hooks in me. Essential purchase.

Will also be picking up Gran Turismo, God of War and FFXIII on that list.

Well, the main difference for Heavy Rain is that it's an adventure game. Having it be a series of button presses and movements mimicking real life is actually a giant step up interactivity-wise from point'n'click. So, take that for what it is.
