Ok, who knows what a PCV valve is on their car? Yeah, its a part you check/replace every 12,000 miles or so that is impossible to find on my truck. I just found it today. I forgot to check it the last 124,000 miles because i couldnt find it. It was very dirty so i cleaned it really well and sprayed carb cleaner into it to help clean out the engine

good news about the truck. I know it's always more satisfying troubleshooting and correcting a problem than having someone else do it for you. I'm that truck has certainly seen better days too.
