The only things I would suggest changing above is from "I am always up to a challenge" to "I am always up for a challenge." Also, capitalize the "Y" in "KY" after "Louisville" in your address... Maybe include what classes you've already taken & experiences you've had that would make you more qualified for the position (i.e., labs & such), or are they even concerned with that?? Anyway, other than those trivial little details I mentioned, everything looks & sounds really good. So, don't be cynical. :-)

I agree with Rachel on including classes and experiences that pertain to the internship. What makes you the best candidate? All your high school achievements may not be necessary or at least condense some of them, such as recipient of various scholarships instead of listing each one, but that really depends on how much you add to the resume. Regardless, I think you have a great chance of getting the job, and I know you are great at interviews. Best of luck!!

Mention more about what you plan to get out of this internship, such as possibly working there once you finish with school? Showing that you would be a dedicated and loyal intern? Being an Intern at the James Brown Cancer Researach facility is a goal I have set for myself, and I have worked very hard to achieve this. Are you passionate about cancer research?

I've been told you should include "reference availiable upon request" at the end of your resume, but i wouldn't bother if they already have a list of your references from another application.

Talk about what makes this internship the one you chose over others availiable to you. and like they said, talk about the lab experience you already have.

Good luck Christie!
