(no subject)
it's been 2 days since we landed in seoul.. and just watched dream concert! tomorrow we're going to the palaces.
so first things first.
when we arrived it was like yaaaay korea! nice weather wooooo! then my mother didn't want to take the bus (good idea) so we got the airport limousine taxi which COST A BOMB. 95000 won and for a conservative estimate 8000 won is 10 bucks. so yeah. eeee. and the taxi driver knew japanese but not english but anyway we didn't speak japanese to him. then he got lost. and more lost! even after calling the place for directions. but after a while we got there, yay. IT'S SO FAR FROM THE MRT OR EVEN THE MAIN ROAD. everyday we have to trudge up and down this steep slope to get to our place, part of the 10 to 15min walk from hyehwa. HMPH. they scam me, i thought it was 5mins away from anguk.
anyway that's that. when we went in, IT'S FULL OF JUNK. seriously like, pottery and urns and vases and things EVERYWHERE - oh and also broken stuff. everywhere. the whole courtyard. and it's so silent it's noisy. like there's really NOT A SOUND, so my ears are ringing with the silence every time we come in. anyway moving on, the living area or so they call it, is also FULL OF JUNK. YAAAAY. and a whole rack of hanboks, like soooo many there are even some in our room all pushed up at the wall. and our room, was REALLY STUFFY. and small. and so much of it is taken up by this huuuuge cupboard along the whole length of a wall, and matching credenzas along the other. wth. our mattresses are all side by side and more of their junk (which the guy told us not to touch, wtf. give me a room and tell me not to touch the things in it, ass) they fill up the whole room. completely. there's no space for anything else, including ourselves >_> and of course, our luggage. so luckily for us they don't have any other people at the moment (yay us, whoopee -_-) our luggage is all outside our room in the living room. and the toilet is so pathetically small, has a crooked toilet seat and no shower area. it's just the short space between the toilet and the sink. this place sucks.
obviously i'm not going to be praccing erhu or doing anything else here.
after getting over the shock and dismay and wanting to spend as much time outside as possible we went out to insadong. dum dum. although hyehwa and anguk are side by side they are not connected so we had to change train twice to get to anguk. -_- so at insadong, same old! ate at gogung at ssamzie. which is still a very nice place. resisted the temptation to buy huixutang! awww. think i will succumb soon.
after that went namsan towerrrrr, took the cable car up and down. wanted to buy cold stone but just when they reached us they switched off the machine and we couldn't eat. -_- namsan also has all those locks like on 63 builiding! super couple galore, pda everywhere. came back, mother insisted the right way was wrong and we got temporarily derailed.
my mother keeps complains about my dad's snores (can be heard coming from upstairs at a discernable level) but she snores too! and it's bothering me now.
on the second day (ie today!) woke up, dream concert! couldn't find the stupid south gate, sister did NOT give instructions how to go there, and it turns out that you had to cross the road to opposite because the bridge to south gate starts there and there's no other way up it. -____- stupid. and the staff my mother enlisted to help us didn't know either. took super long, but got there in the end, sister saved seats for us, which turned out to be in the middle of kara fancafe! wow. so they passed out all the orange balloons and stuff (had glow sticks later on) and then... we waited.
for damn bloody 4 hours. which is not a lot compared to the fangirls who queued up since 6+ am (ie sister) but whatever. i slept a while, then went to buy some food cos there was nothing to eat, and the cider from gumiho! super unhealthy. anyway the show started! oh and there were these 2 mascots super cute. the costume is made badly so when they move they move very cutely but awkwardly and were very very funny HAHA. sooo when the show started proper - song joong ki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and also hara and this guy i dont know. hara is a pretty useless mc lol. when she speaks there's barely any sound and she hardly speaks. laaame. the whole place was full of secondary school girls who talked really loudly, so you can imagine THEIR SCREAMS ARE EVEN LOUDER AND I REALLY WENT DEAF!!!
i liked ft island, sistar, kim taewoo, hm... the rest were fine, except seo inkook and 5dolls were kinda boring. there was this random old man group and the guy sang opera lol. i'm pretty sure i've seen him before. omg it's 4am now. okay will round up. the sm fans were craaaaaaaazy. and i kept dropping my bag cos it wasn't heavy enough to hold a seat down. and the koreans throw their rubbish every damn where. got pretty high! :D though we were so far from the stage, sigh. there's this big space of nothing on the field behind the vip seats where they put the extra big screen, so we were especially far away! sadness.
