Not being a linguistics scholar myself, I would suggest that "Hi, Corinna" is the start of the conversation, as in, those are the very first words. Like when two people run into each other and say, "Hi, John." "Hello, Martha."
"Dear Corinna," and "To Corinna," precede the conversation; they prepare the reader for the upcoming conversation, but those words are not really part of it. It's certainly not anything people would say in face-to-face conversation.
