Well after spending most of my life as a cat person I now officially only have a dog.

Probably but, since there I've got no carpet anymore it can't hurt to try it out. I'll have to wait until I can afford two gates though. If I had more LJ friends I would put a post up asking for free ones.

So far so good with Cassiopeia. We are still keeping her confined but the ventures into Dougie's world and his into hers are going well.

Hope it is an easy transition for you and dori too.

Dougie does seem really sweet. All is well. The dog now gets all my attention and I am no longer hollerin' at her for chasing the cats.

Things seem to be going well. She has full run of the house, both she and dougie are acclimating. They were having a war over who would run the family bed last night- cassie woke everyone repeatedly by walking on them or licking their faces. Dougie then would follow her and reassure himself he was still loved. Quite funny. things seem to be going very well.

Oh yeah! I should have mentioned that Cassie likes to sleep right next to your head. The licking of your face tends to wane once she knows you. Sorry that she kept ya'll awake.

it isn't a problem- just to be expected with a new family member. Good to know about the licking though :) Not that I want her to totally stop, it is cute.
