Captain, there be crocuses here!

Well, it appears that spring may actually be here (albeit slightly later than in Tennessee or Kentucky - not that I'm jealous or anything). Last weekend we got the first flowers of the season coming up in our backyard, yellow and purple crocuses, and a few days ago I noticed two daffodils. I love spring flowers! Can't wait for them to show up here. It's been getting much warmer, but it's also been very (and scarily) dry...they keep having wildfire watches/warnings and even red flag warnings, even with the light rain we had Saturday...

Oooo, dry is not so good. I haven't heard anything about that here, thank goodness. Of course, the 4+ inches we got of rain the other day I'm sure didn't hurt!

And we're hanging in there - grad school is...grad school. I'm trying to not let it destroy my morale completely. And somewhat succeeding. :)
