Tinkerbells, we had our 40 week appointment today.  I had not-so-secret hopes that she would check me and immediately rush me over to delivery because I was one of those women who doesn't realize she's in labour.  No such luck, although I have "progressed" since the last visit - I'm now 3cm dilated and 90% effaced, which explains why it feels as if

ah girlie, I am hoping that your water breaks, and that you whoosh into labor so quickly that the baby is out before you know it! And that the endorphins will make it pain free!! And then someone will pass you a strong martini while they clean the baby off and do the Apgar. Visualize, girl, it could HAPPEN!!!!

As I was reading this post out loud to Apple she said "Tell them that they need to make a pie. They should make a pie and eat some and then coco will go into labor and they'll come home to half-eaten pie." Hysterical.
