Theories about Supernatural...

Soooo...
some of these things could just be fuck ups on WB's part, others could be intentional. At the moment we're in a Schroedingers box of it *could* be good writing, or it might not be.

So, in the Pilot of the show, Mary sees her husband sleeping and realises the figure next to Sammy is *not* John. Now, what's interesting is...
She *doesn't* wake John.
She just runs for Sammy's room, calling his name (which seems a bit useless for a 6 month old, but hey... *shrug*). John doesn't wake til her scream.

So, here's theory number one: Mary doesn't wake John because she already knows who/what it is (the demon).

So, the actors playing Sam and Dean look nearly nothing alike. When they're pretending to be other people (priests, FBI), they never say they're brothers because it really wouldn't occur to anyone.
Now, I'm sure the real reason for this is bad WB casting, but any half-decent writer could come up with a storyline where John ain't Sammy's Daddy. Yeah. This is pretty Schroedingers at the moment.

Theory number two: They're only half-brothers.

So, Sammy's Daddy could be... the Celine Demon, or someone else and the Celine Demon is killing the women who come in contact with that line, but not the line itself. Jess could have been pregnant (disturbing, but she was kinda suggestively eviscerated), or it could have just been the potential for her being mother to a child of Sams.

So, the reason I wanted to get those down, is because I just saw Nightmare, and it kinda added weight to some of those theories for me.

Basically, Max?
Theory four: I think he was Sammy's half-brother, and that's why Sammy was picking up on him.

Further speculation:
Dean played it very calm in Nightmares. Like. Very calm. So maybe he was just being calm for Sammy, or, maybe he *knows* something?
He was surprised that Sammy would be having premonitions about someone he had no connection to, not that he was having premonitions. He said he wasn't freaked out by Sammy's visions. And maybe he was lying, but what if he wasn't? 'Cause he already *knew*?
And... at the end. Just the way he was reassuring Sam, then sidetracking him (with the Vegas joke), but then the music changed and he was just kinda staring?
Hmmm.
You could read it that he *was* telling the truth when Sammy asked if he was freaked out, but *was* lying to him (at least by omission), every other time they talked about stuff. Ok. That's getting kinda vague.

Sidetrack: Mrs Miller in Nightmares? Man, at the end, the way she lied to the cops? Way too convincing. All weepy and with the lies. She's good at it. Had practice, according to the thing about Max's childhood. Eeery. Not to mention the way she stared off to the side for a moment. Low key, but I'm all like, ooo, she's evil. Maybe she was placed there so that Max would go psycho? Ok. That can be theory 4b. It's very minor.
