This is a really important PSA you just delivered, and I'd like to add one thing it: please do not use teflon or any other ungodly and unnatural materials as a cooking surface. Teflon does very bad things to your food and the vapors that rise out of the pan are very dangerous to breathe as well. (For example, a lot of people keep birds in their kitchens & when people use teflon pans the fumes have been known to kill the birds).

Do yourself and your loved ones a favor by investing in stainless steel cookware. Yes, it's more expensive, but they will last forever and you won't be awake all night worrying about cancer and dead birds.
