100 most banned books. A lot of books on this list were actually assigned readings for me. I'm fairly surprised by the number one spot.

Where's Waldo? appears on that list. My guess is not everything on the list is banned for "obscene" content. There's probably a lot of schools that ban it so ( Read more... )

I don't get it. I remember "James & the Giant Peach" being fairly innocuous. Yet I'm sure that kids are still being assigned "A Clockwork Orange" which has a rape scene AND makes bad eyeliner seem like a cool thing.

This list made me wonder what "Mommy Laid an Egg" is all about.
