Really, this chapter makes me laugh my head off for some random reasons. XDD
And it makes me procrastinate more on my high pile of homework. D<
Anyways, as promised, here’s my first weekly review of KHR’s newest chapter for the year 2009. \^o^/!!!
1. OMFG, XANXUS!!! Do you want to be a model in my non-existent modeling agency?
Holy shit! (no.1) I didn’t squeal or scream or fainted or hyperventilating when I saw the cover page. Really. My reactions were:

Because! Amano is so damn out of her mind! What the hell did she want to do by drawing Xanxus’ almost half nekkid like that for a chapter cover page?! And what’s with a JUNGLE as the background? And the liger was on the background too! And… and what’s with Xanxus’ eyes go all white? O_O. LOLOLOL!!!
I can’t help but be reminded about some old movie poster of Tarzan when I saw this one. OTL. O gawd… The mental image!
Okay, let’s talk about Xanxus’ damn awesome body. Darn… Amano never draws any other characters almost half nekkid like this except for, maybe, Lussuria, Ryohei and Gokudera with his bandaged chest and his shirt flapping all around because of the wind while he stroked his smexy silver hair back looking so badass as he fought Belphegor ^nosebleeds^ (remember the Ring Battles hundreds of chapters ago?). And well, the three youngsters (‘cept Luss, he’s not as young as Gokkun and Ryohei) can’t compare to the Varia Boss’ hawtness, can they? Except for my Gokkun ;D. Perhaps, Xanxus was spending all his free time the past ten years in the gym or maybe take his pet animal box weapon hunting in the jungle in Italy for exercise. That’s why he has such delightable body. >_<
2. Behold! The king of the Jungle all animal box weapons!
Yep! The king has arrived and now Katekyo Hitman Reborn! has officially becomes a perfect zoo. I can’t help but think I’m reading a manga version of National Geographic or Animal Planet now. OTL.
I was wondering back then (on ch.223 review) about who could possibly owns a lion as animal box weapon. And voila! It’s Xanxus! Even though yes, it’s not fully lion, but let’s just keeps the liger until the last page, kay? Which animal fits Xanxus most other than a lion? Like Bel, I don’t think someone as proud as Xanxus, who thinks every other being’s existence is a nuisance for him and treats his slaves subordinates like trash would settle for anything other than a lion.
So now, we all know what animals the Varia members have, except for Fran (Gah! No Fran in this chapter! DX);
I bet Fran will have a big misty Frog as his pet. XDDD
And for the Vongola Guardians’ pets:
Holy shit! (no.2) Crappy scan is crappy. Anyways, all the seven elements’ attributes are finally revealed. This is the list of the elements with its attributes and flame colors and the people who are known to have the wave energy (Vongola, Millefiore, Varia, Arcobaleno)
o Sky (空)-> harmony => Tsuna, Byakuran, Xanxus, Uni?, and perhaps Dino?
o Storm (嵐)-> degeneration => Gokudera, Rasiel, Belphegor, unknown (probably I-pin’s master)
o Rain (雨)-> tranquility => Yamamoto, Glo Xinia, Squalo, Collonnelo (or Lal Mirch)
o Sun (晴)) -> activation => Ryohei, Irie, Lussuria, Reborn
o Cloud（雲）-> propagation => Hibari, unknown, broken Gola Mosca, Skull
o Thunder （雷）-> solidification => Lambo, Gamma, Levi, Verde
o Mist （霧）-> construction => Mukuro (or Chrome), Genkishi, Mammon -who’s also known as Viper the Arcobaleno
Slightly off topic: I can’t help but lol-ing like crazy when I read what the attribute of Cloud was written in Italian in that page. It’s written riproduzione which means reproduction. Holy shit! (no.3) LOLOLOL!! Hibari… Reproduction… O gawd… DX. So yeah, propagation and reproduction have almost the same meaning but still… OTL. I’d rather use propagation than reproduction please. Reproduction just sounds so… wrong. (-_-”)
4. Wanna see vulnerable Xanxus?
Poor Xanxus, being attacked by Siel’s cheap trick. And his cute big cat was affected too! When will we ever see out of breath like this again? And he’s looking so smexy with that fringe in that page even though he was in pain. <3
5. It’s not a Lion! It’s a Liger!
As I read the spoiler back then, I was like ‘The hell? Liger? What’s that?’ because I didn’t read the whole spoilers carefully. (-_-”). Also blame my small vocabulary of the animal names. So I looked it up in a dictionary and there’s no explanation of what a liger is. And then I re-read the spoiler again and went ‘WTF? Lion+Tiger=Liger?????!!! asdjfkjghakdjsfhaskdjfg! Holy shit! (no.4)’. And the attributes are Sky and Storm. Grrrrh!
Now let’s do a little analysis if we could call this analysis. Apparently Xanxus’ animal box weapon is a mix breed between a male lion and a female tiger. Supposedly; the lion has Sky attribute so that makes the Storm comes from the tiger. My question is; how the hell those scientists able to mix-breeding weapons? It’s goddamned WEAPON! W.E.A.P.O.N!!! Even though it’s called animal box weapon, it’s still a weapon. Amano and her so called logic. D<
Amano apparently likes to deceive us. Guh! I wanna kill that woman someday. (-_-”). You know what? Instead of writing this ‘This manga is a fiction’, Amano should have write; ‘No animals were harmed in the making of this manga’ LOL.
And that’s that! Nothing much to be pointed out in this chapter, because… trufax;
So, that wraps up our weekly review! I don’t really know what to expect for the next chapter other than more animals appearing and more fights. Now I gotta go back and do homework; three papers which due this Thursday. D<. I hate homeworks!

- There’s more animals appearance than humans in this chapter (wanna add it with the other chapters?).
- We see more of that cursed black butler than our dear Varia Boss in this chapter. Buh! Just kill him already, Xanxus! His appearance has started to annoy me. I wanna see Fran and Bel, not that freakish butler.
- Amano’s art style keeps on changing and my eyes hurt from seeing the too many details in each panel.
- I miss the Vongola boys. ;_ _; I wanna see Hibari! Gokkun! Even Shou-chan and tuna fish Tsuna. And I wanna know if we would see Ryohei and Yamamoto ever again! Not to forget Dino~~ And perhaps Basil!
So, that wraps up our weekly review! I don’t really know what to expect for the next chapter other than more animals appearing and more fights. Now I gotta go back and do homework; three papers which due this Thursday. D<. I hate homeworks!
