ok i technically lied when i said i "met" him. i got to go to a screening of his new film, miracle at st. anna, on tues night. after we'd left the theater he arrived. he walked by me in the hallway (it's important to note that it was a fairly empty one and not a super crowded one) and i recognized him and made eye contact and opened my mouth to speak but he was just completely not interested. i took note of where he was going and when elke came out of the bathroom i told her and she went up to him and asked for a picture (he said no). it was all very exciting. the movie is scheduled to be released in a few months. that's the story :)
