As a future English teacher, anyone in my class who writes just ONE answer in text speak on a test will automatically fail. I cannot believe any English teacher would allow that!

Just... but... why? This makes no sense to me. Why shouldn't you be able to write out the language as you have been since you were six? I... you are right when you say there are no words.
