This morning as I rode the coaster to work Donnie (a blue herrin, and a cool one at that) greeted me as usual as I passed by. What I didn't expect was for him to greet me at the Sorrento Valley station as I waited for the coaster to take me back home. He flew in and landed on the lamp post, it was a wonderful surprise! I don't get surprises much!

Sounds like a day with numerous wonderful surprises. :) Donnie sounds like the perfect sort of friend... pleasant, ever listening, friendly--isn't it remarkable, what animals have the capability to do for one's emotions and being simply by existing? I suppose that is part of why I've always wanted to work with them; animals are so much more understanding than humans will ever be and they're simply remarkable. Glad you had a good day and got to say hello to Donnie. Say hi for me on Monday. By the way, thanks for the email. That made my night.
