Report's not up yet but... they actually shot an elevator? Are they completely insane?

And what's this about someone being captured and kidnapped?

Perhaps it was their objective, to inflict casualties and resource denial.

Pilot Setsuna of Celestial Being was taken away in combat.

It's one thing to just inflict casualties, but... billions could have died. I can't understand how any human being could go through with that.

Setsuna... dammit. I know there are people closer to him but they better give me a shot at the guy who did this.

They might have an over-arcing strategy dependant on it, we simply do not know enough.

That part about the Evas is hardly possible. They're amazingly complex to make and require particular individuals to pilot, and NERV kind of has a monopoly on them.

In fact, there's only four usable Evangelions in the world, and that's assuming they bother salvaging 03.

...okay, five if they ever actually deploy Unit 04, but I heard it was so far behind in testing they might just scrap it, especially after what just happened.

What about the Dummy Plug? It might be possible for infiltrators to reprogram it to work against the GDF, correct?

That is not going to be used again! I'm going to do my best to get the Commander to trash it entirely.

...but until then, I trust NERV's security. Just the sheer number of physical restraints and barriers they can put on the Evas is enough to keep them where they're supposed to be.

My analysis puts NERV's commander as one who does not value a pilot's input much. He did override pilot Shinji's control with the Dummy Plug.

I see. I will trust your judgement of NERV's security capabilities then.
