Apparently someone got my debit card number and PIN and drained my account last night. The account's been frozen until I can go to the bank and clear it up, which I'm going to do in a few hours. The only three places they could have gotten it was the Grotto, the Wendy's on Wellington, and the Subway at Gordon and Wellington.

It really makes me sad that people are actually scum.

I really used to believe that, in general, they weren't

Yeah, scum like that definitely exists. Doesn't really matter to me though, because I'm getting my money back.

I'm pretty sure it was some asshole at the Subway (that's where I'm pretty sure it happened) making a quick buck at their minimum-wage job.

you gotta love the bank's anti-theft policies. my dad bought some stuff for his arthritis with his credit card once from an infomercial. Every month after my parents had twenty dollars taken away under a generic store name. Once they confronted the bank they got all of their money back.

thankfully when they tried mine, they hit my empty savings account BEFORE attempting to scam money from my line of credit (which isn't set up as a line of credit in the system).

They could have scammed a LOT of money out of my account if they hadn't been so foolish. still hurts though.

i've used enough random bank machines over the years that it's only a matter of time...still was a shock though.
