Yeay!

I finally managed to source an (affordable) copy of the book "Armour of the Batle of Wisby 1361"
When I originally looked at buying this book it was a snip at a mere £100.
I've since spent a couple of years looking for an affordable copy, luckly it has just came back into print, and I managed to snag a copy for £30. Woot!

This book is the PHD thesis and field notes from Dr Thordeman, for his excavation of the mass graves from the Battle of Wisby.

It is stuffed with useful data from the 14th century, from anaylsis of wounds inflicted upon the skeletons, the grave finds, everything from buckles to suits of armour, and details of local arcitecture contempary to the 14th century.

Of most interest to myself, is that, unlike in many medieval battles, most of the combatants were buried while wearing their armour, and much of this armour was preserved in the mass graves.

In all over twenty four differing suits of armour were unearthed and documented. Making this one of the most valuable references for armour of this period.
Joy!
