I'd friend you on Netflix but I'm so embarrassed because I still haven't watched Donnie Darko and I've had it for almost six months now. I am a bad renter.

Let me know if you can't see my profile because I made it private, but I think that means Friends can still see it.

My old cell phone had a way to turn mp3s into ringtones, but this one's the cheapo junk model and I only have one way to get my own tunes on there: Record a voice memo holding the phone to the computer speaker, save it, and then set that as a Contact's custom tone.

This is also how I manage to avoid certain numbers -- my service won't block them so I recorded some silence on a voice memo, set that as their caller id ringtone, and then when that person calls, I don't hear anything. Yay!

waitwaitwait what's this "online viewing" thing? I've been muddling over whether I should get Netflix-- I don't know if I'd watch enough media to make it worth it, but if they have TV shows too--! Omg, SPN and Xena and House and Bones and Firefly and-- maybe I shuld get Netflix?

There's a free trial; see if you'd like it. There aren't a whole lot of online titles available that I'm into, but there are enough for a membership to make sense for a at least a month or two. I have the 1 DVD plan, since more than that tends to stack up on the entertainment center. Meanwhile, I'm able to just click Play on a few older movies, and then also a few TV series, which is nice when I'd heard they were good shows but don't want to spend my time/money renting a DVD, just give me an episode now to check out. I download torrents, so it's nice to feel like I'm doing things the legal way for a change.
