I haven't seen the tv series yet, but I've heard good things about it and I really like Romula Garai so I'm hoping to get to see it soon. The book is brilliant! It's a postmodern, Victorian novel, it's got some very intriguing characters and it's beautifully written. I think you'll enjoy it.
Ooo I hadn't actually considered the parallels to Medea; that's a really interesting perspective!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling tip top :( Seems unfair to have survived the winter without one then get ill when it starts to get warmer! I've had a horrible cold/flu for 2 weeks and I am only just getting over it so I feel your pain. Drink lots of tea and watch lots of Jamie Bell films :)

I do hope you're intending to put that rec list up on here :) I need to expand my film horizons a little, I am a habitual re-watcher so I always end up watching my favourites over and over!

The Sandman is a comic book series about the ruler of the world of dreams written by Neil Gaiman in the early 1990s. I haven't read all the issues but it's really good.
