for the record
my new year's resolution:
be more awesome than last year.
so far i think i'm doing a pretty good job.
drove fast and dirty, chilled out on xmas(festivus) with my family.
i had the misfortune of going to the dentist while i was home, and they conned me into getting my wisdom teeth out. this is an event i have been avoiding for the past five years, but i have a new dentist now and she didn't give you any room to say no. so i did it and it ended up being probably the easiest and painless it possibly could have been. and living on smoothies and ice cream for 24 hours was kind of fun. not like i wouldn't do it anyway.
then we had a dinner party at james' on new year's eve and played cranium with his sister and her friend until 4 am. this was acceptable because we (me, james, eric, alli) went to VEGAS on the 2nd for two nights. beforehand we got ourselves flasks and stuff to fill them and carried those around to spice up our drinks and keep ourselves warm (also we're cheap). i actually won $40 from the slots and didn't gamble it all away again. but i did buy some shoes!
and then the last few days flew by and i drove even faster and dirtier to get home and here i am again back at starbucks. school starts on wednesday which is hard to believe and both exciting and disappointing at the same time.
and the biggest news of the whole last month:
a few days after xmas my landlady called me and she has to sell the house that i live in, so i am MOVING. james and i have decided to get a place together. it may be in san francisco or it may be in the east bay (probably alameda). either way it is going to be totally sweet. tonight we found the best couch & chair EVER on craigslist. hopefully we can find a truck.
