I. Am I Awake? - They Might Be Giants
Ever since capnhotness sent me this song, it has been a definitive Ianto track. I think it sums him up really nicely, and ... further descriptives fail me! I don't think it's anything he would actually be interested in listening to, but if he did, he might be able to relate.

II. Chocolate - Snow Patrol
This is my Ianto-going-through-epiphany song, as he begins to fully realize not only how much it is that Jack means to him, but how awful he's been at switching off from his life at Torchwood. Unfortunately, his epiphany is sort of too little, too late. I dunno if he'd actually listen to Snow Patrol, either - I'm guessing this is a little more likely, since they get a lot of airplay in the US and the UK. He's at least heard them, even if not actively listening.

III. The Ghost of You - My Chemical Romance
This is my ... Ianto/Lisa, Jack/Ianto song, going on here. Ianto trying to justify moving on from Lisa, perhaps - or moping over the loss of both her and Jack after the Captain swans off with the Doctor. I ... really don't particularly imagine Ianto listening to My Chemical Romance. Although he does listen to the Cure, I must draw the line somewhere.

IV. Where Are You Now? - Sophia
This definitely sums up Ianto's relationship - or lack thereof - with Jack at the moment. With them broken up, and Ianto feeling a little inadequate compared to the Time Lords in Jack's life. Plus, as capnhotness put it, Sophia seems to write music for Jack and Ianto. This is probably the song I could most imagine Ianto listening to ... I think he'd rock some acoustic guitar and a not conventionally attractive voice.

V. Me vs. the World - Madina Lake
This one bothers me a little because of the band's sound, and it's definitely not something that I imagine Ianto listening to. However, I do love the lyrics and I think they're fitting for the character and my portrayal of him.
