Now, I bank with HBoS. The last thing I'm going to be doing is getting a second credit card with them - or, in fact, with anyone - at the moment. So I do what

This is strange. My grandmother got a letter from HBoS telling her that her card was being changed over and she had nothing to worry about. The leter implied that she had no choice in the matter. Being my grandmother she rang them immediately and complained and told them they were not changing her card no matter what they thought and they backed down.

In this case did they just not send you the letter informing you of the change? Also they deserve to be complained at.

No, they didn't - oh...I suppose it could've gone to boxninja's, as they refuse to change over my address. I certainly haven't gotten anything here, and this is where they're posting my card to...

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me. Received new card yesterday (Mastercard) only a month after receiving another new card (Visa). When I phoned HBoS I was given the same information as you.

Twats. I cancelled my BoS Visa card when I took one out with the Cooperative Bank. Ever since then, every time I go to pay in, it's “Now ... I see you don't have a credit card with us. Have you thought about…”

Yeah, I've had a Mastercard with them for a while, and yeah, it just showed up.
