You make touring south-west Ireland sound awesome...I've gotta get there some day. :)
Australians don't know how to drive in snow - apparently, it's not that common there (how's that heatwave working out for you guys, btw?
Hey, I've been skiing a few times, but only in the depths of winter. ;)
Heatwave has been excellent. Got a bit over 45 degrees yesterday in the middle of Melbourne. First time ever (in recorded history) that Melbourne has had three days in a row over 43C (down to approx 32 at night). Walked around bits of the city last night until 2am, lurking in parks, fending off possums and baby ducks. Gorgeous weather...I can wear shorts!!! Only 37 today, *sniff*
Oh Connemara! I never said not to do Connemara (it has Ireland's only native ponies, whee!) but I just thought that Westport to the Giant's Causeway is a fuck of a trip, and also almost pony-less, when you are short on time and the Burren is awesome. The Burren has wonderful limestone formations and the Cliffs of Moher even if it has a sad lack of ponies. I like Connemara. Did I mention the ponies?
