So er..
Well. Somewhat.
The Killers - Don't Shoot Me, Santa:
http://www.box.net/shared/0h8x2g3cnh One of the most bizarre Christmas songs I have ever heard. Ever. ...No. Seriously. It's worth listening to just to play the 'What exactly were THEY smoking, then' game. My bets are on crack. Lots of it.
Have some Coldplay - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas:
http://www.box.net/shared/avvez2tkfc To offset the fucking crazy. As predictably boring and elevator-y as can be expected from them. But, hey! I've sat on a bed that Chris Martin had sex in! Seriously.
And then this; Death Cab - Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home):
http://www.box.net/shared/nrjil3s9tx Is just a gorgeous Christmas song.
And for something to make you grin; Of Montreal - My Favourite Christmas (In A Hundred Words or Less):
http://www.box.net/shared/cnnou567tc The silly sounds all the way through the song easily make it one of my favourites.
And because I love Ryan Adams ridiculous amounts; Ryan Adams - Hey Parker, It's Christmas:
http://www.box.net/shared/4pqad4q257 I love his voice. I love the Cardinals. I love this song.
And then! Sufjan Stevens: Did I Make You Cry on Christmas Day? (Well, You Deserved It!):
http://www.box.net/shared/t3e0krle2d Because no Christmas is the same without dysfunctionality!
And because I can? Sufjan Stevens: Come On Let's Boogey To The Elf Dance:
http://www.box.net/shared/4zm4n5bod2 I absolutely love dancing to this song!
Added bonus. The Pogues - Fairytale of New York:
http://www.box.net/shared/tbr80ak3j6 Because I have to add the most played Christmas song ever.
Other than attempting to get into the holiday mood, the annual family reunion is currently going on in my house. Which means I've barricaded my door and am currently cowering under my bed to escape the force-feeding. Last night I had a nightmare of my grandmother zombie-walking towards me, holding food in both hands.
I also have marginally less work for the next three weeks. Which still means I have to do an essay when I'd rather go through every single book in my room.
Yes. Right. How're you, then?
