Source, the third book in Sylvia Kelso's Amberlight series. Things that annoyed me in the second book are already annoying me in the third.

Still reading Kevin Young's poetry and the biography of Julia Margaret Cameron.

Just finishedI spent the weekend rereading all of Megan Whalen Turner's Attolia books, and it was GREAT

oh! I gasped at this photo.

I remember living in one apartment - I had moved in only a few days earlier, and all my boxes of books were in the front closet, which was a big walk in storage closet (it was nice!)

I was sitting at the computer one evening, and heard what sounded like a shower running - having just moved in, I assumed that I was hearing my neighbour's shower running. Only it was running a LONG time. Eventually I went over to the bathroom, and turned on the light - and there was water!

A pipe had burst in between the units, and water was coming in!

FIRST I ran over to the closet and starting pulling all the boxes OUT and tossing them into the dining room area - there was water on the floor and the bottoms of the boxes were wet - so I was dumping the boxes out onto the ground.

Thankfully only the boxes got wet!

So sorry for your loss!
